On October 19, 2012, a retired US Army veteran, Ralph Lewis Wald, caught his wife, Johnna Flores having sex with her ex-partner, Walter Lee, in his living room in Clara Drive in Brandon. Wald quietly went back to his room, retrieved his gun, and shot the man several times, killing him on the spot.
He had no remorse for his action and wished to do it again if the opportunity presented itself.
‘If the same thing happened again, I would do the same thing,’ Wald said. ‘I didn’t think I did anything wrong.’
‘My husband forgives me 100 percent. But there are, of course, trust issues; that’s something we’re going to go to counseling about, she said as she waited for her husband’s release from jail. ‘I wouldn’t give that man up for the world,’ Johnna said.
Strangely, Wald took his wife back after he was acquitted of all charges.
